Story

A fun filled day of sun (hopefully), softball (of sorts), socialising (obvs) and raising some money for Cystic Fibrosis along the way. Pete would have definitely approved. Firstly, the softball. We have 3 games scheduled... 12pm - 2 Many Tonys v Bohemian Mavericks (rescheduled league match) 2pm - Captains v VIce Captains - the traditional favourite 4pm - Newbies v Veterans - after the success last year, its back again It's due to be hot... very hot... so it's important to stay hydrated, luckily we have the drinks covered! Alongside all of this we'll be running some softball based games as well including *Pitching Pong* // *Softball Shy* // *Big Stick* // *Speedy Bases* So come down from midday, bring a picnic, some sun cream and plenty of ready made heckles. We should be done by 6pm to enable everyone to get sorted ahead of Jessex' infamous CSL Pub Quiz from 8pm. For those that don't know... Pete was a long standing pillar of the softball world, with heavy involvement in running CSL for as long as we can remember - whether introducing and training newbies, hosting awards nights, providing some legendary fancy dress, upholding rules and settling disputes, or just being around for a good old natter. He was a softballer first and foremost, but also had Cystic Fibrosis. The way he dealt with it was a true inspiration, but sadly Pete eventually lost his battle with CF in January this year and is sorely missed by all who knew him. His legacy lives on and so while remembering him, we are also using this day to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis.
